Thomaston Kurt A. Duffy, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 18. He was the husband of Rhonda (Cahill) Duffy. Kurt was born November 20, 1964, son of the late Lester C. and Olive (Smalley) Duffy. A lifelong resident of Thomaston, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 1983. He was employed as a production manager for J & J Precision. In addition to his wife Rhonda of 15 years, he leaves his children, Danielle Duffy, Rylee Duffy, Brooke Smith and Hunter Smith all of Thomaston; two brothers, Terry Duffy and his wife Peg of Thomaston and Lester C. Duffy, Jr and his wife Tina of Morris; one sister, Joan Lumbard Knox and her husband Dan of Thomaston and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alan L. Duffy. Walk through calling hours will be held on Friday, April 23, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. in Thomaston. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Hillside Cemetery at a time to be announced. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
