Laraine M. Leveillee, 76, of Thomaston passed away peacefully on Monday March 5 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. She was born in West Warwick, RI on January 31, 1936. She was the daughter of David and Cordelia Jalbert Dupron.
She attended Notre Dame of good council in West Warwick and graduated from St. Charles High School in Providence, RI. She loved to sing, dance, and roller skate. Laraine was also an accomplished softball player. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and friends. Memere will be forever remembered for her love, compassion, and wonderful sense of humor.
She was happily married to Donald J. Leveillee for 56 years. Together they raised four lovely children and were blessed with 5 amazing grandchildren.
Laraine spent many happy years caring for children both in her home and at Gym Tots daycare in Torrington. She was also a longtime, faithful member of St. Thomas Perish where she was a member of the choir, and had great devotions to St. Jude.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her younger sister, Edith and her husband Joe Pereira; Her cousins and lifelong friends Janice and Gerry Huot; Her children; David Leveillee and his wife Kerrie of Thomaston, Celeste Clark and her husband John of Thomaston, Collette Gangloff and her husband Roy of VT, and Danny Leveillee and his wife Theresa of Thomaston; Her grandchildren; Shalan Paul and husband Ken of Hebron, Shane Gangloff of Montana, Joe Leveillee and his wife Michelle of Cheshire, Matt Gangloff of Montana, and Katelyn Leveillee of Thomaston; One great grandson Boden Paul, and awaiting the arrival of Mckayla Catherine Leveillee. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring and devoted staff of Valerie Manor in Torrington, CT who eased the pain of a difficult time for our family.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private in St. Thomas Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lyons Funeral Home of Thomaston.
