Thomaston - Mrs. Laurentina "Tina" (Pereira) Lydem, 90, died on Friday morning, April 15, at Gardner Heights Healthcare in Shelton. She was the widow of Rufus L. Lydem. Mrs. Lydem was born September 27, 1925 in Hudson, MA, daughter of the late Jose M. and Isabel P. (Pina) Pereira. Raised in Bridgeport she had attended local schools. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Lydem - Furey and her husband Chris of North Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters, Selvina Koczy of Monroe and Sister Mary Therese Stephen, Carmelite Order of S. Boston, MA; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Lee Lange and her brother, Selespino Pereira. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 18, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
