Plymouth - Mrs. Lillian Mae (Hotchkiss) Smith, 75, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Mr. Conrad C. Smith.
Lillian was born on October 7, 1937 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Amy (Davis) Newsome. Growing up in Watertown, she attended local schools. Lillian was a well-loved Girl Scout Troup leader for a number of years, a member of the Plymouth Grange and a longtime member of the St. Peters Trinity Church choir. Lillian loved the time she was able to spend with her family and lived life to the fullest as long as she was able.
Besides her husband, Lillian is survived by a son, Conrad W. Smith, of Plymouth; four daughters, Susan E. Houle and her husband, Joseph, of Terryville, Lisa C. Gibb, of Thomaston, Jessie Fontaine, of Orleans, VT, and Rachel A. Bouchard and her husband, Philip, of Terryville; a brother, Arthur Hotchkiss, of Terryville; a sister, Shirley Hotchkiss, of Bristol; her special granddaughter and buddy, Amy Bouchard; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Rae; and a brother, Bill Hotchkiss. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Scalise for the years of help given to Lillian.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Family and friends may call from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Burial is private.
