Lois (Gangloff) Butteri entered eternal rest on July 28, 2026. She spent most of her life in Thomaston, Connecticut. She lived her life as a devoted wife, homemaker and mother to her two children. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Stella Gangloff and was their last surviving child. She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Lisa of Plainville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was comforted in her life journeys with the memories of her late husband, Michael and her late daughter, Doreen. Lois experienced so much loss of life in her family that she so relished, and now all of that loss is greeting her on the other side in one huge family reunion. Lois was a deeply spiritual women who devoted her life's energy to her home and to God.

Mike and Lisa would like to recognize the staff services of Compassus Hospice Services and Amberwoods of Farmington Station Assisted Living of whose staff were wonderful in her transition. As dementia ultimately conquered her earthly existence, Legends Home Care of Bristol staff lovingly and patiently guided Lois to the solace of God's comfort. Thank you Shirley, Ginger, Laurie and Caitlyn for all of the love and the cards. Thanks also to Marion, whom Lois received God's fellowship from. She is at peace.

A Burial service will be held on Tuesday, August 11th at 10:30 am at Hillside Cemetery, Marine St., Thomaston CT 06787. 

It was Lois' wish that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomaston Ambulance Service.
