Miss Lori A. Mezzo
Waterbury Lori A. Mezzo, 37, of Wheeler St., died Thursday at Waterbury Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the long time companion to William Bellmay of Waterbury.
Miss Mezzo was born August 11, 1970, in Waterbury, daughter of John Mezzo of Naugatuck and the late Lucille "Weasy" (Petersen) Mezzo. Lori grew up in Watertown and furthered her education at Porter and Chester becoming a Medical Transcriptionist. She worked for Dr. Daniels for five years and most recently was employed at the Cardiology Associates in Waterbury. Lori had spent most of her spare time with her beloved daughter Kayla, along with her friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking.
She is also survived by a paternal grandmother; Hedwig Mezzo of Wolcott, her daughter Kayla Marie Bellmay of Waterbury, a brother; Steven Martino of Watertown, two sisters; Debbie Hardt of Waterbury, Linda Martino of Florida, two nieces, a nephew, two great nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Thomas Church of Thomaston, Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Thomaston. Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston, 06787. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made payable to; Lori A. Mezzo Memorial Fund, c/o Lyons Funeral Home.
