Ludwika "Lucy" Podhorski, 76, of Thomaston, passed away on September 12, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George Podhorski, Sr. Lucy was born in Warsaw, Poland to the late Wladyslaw and Monica Zmyslowski. Lucy was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed sewing, shopping, and spending time with family. Lucy retired from Sequels Second Products, where she assembled and inspected medical instruments. Lucy is survived by her son, George Podhorski; her daughter, Mary Murphy and her husband Joseph, from Chalfont, PA; her brother, Wojtek Zmyslowski; her sisters, Teresa Karasiewicz and her husband Andrew; Barbara Isczukiewicz; and Mary Rydzewski, of Poland; her grandchildren, Brianna and Erika Podhorski, and George and Victoria Cerwinski; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston, to St. Thomas Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Thomaston. Lucys family would like to thank the Vitas hospice nurses; especially Kelly, Stephanie, and Tina; for the exceptional care they had given to their Mom.
