Obituary

Northfield- Mrs., Margaret (Birmingham) Sharr, 93, of Campville Rd. died Monday, December 10. She was the wife of the late Ralph M. Sharr. Mrs. Sharr was born July 17, 1914 in Hartford daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Flanagan) Birmingham. She retired from the Torrington Co, Ingersoll Rands cost accounting department. Active in the community Margaret was a Litchfield County 4-H Club leader for years and was a member of the Beacon Grange #118 in Northfield for over 50 years, a member of the Womens Club, the Literary Club, the Historical Society and the Harwinton Homemakers. She is survived by two sons, Ralph M. Sharr of Bantam and Timothy J. Sharr of Northfield; one daughter, Elizabeth (Sharr) Schiavo of Cheshire; two grandchildren, Timothy Sharr, Jr and Kristina Elizabeth Schiavo and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Sharr. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:30 P.M. from the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston to Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam for mass of Christian burial at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until time to leave for church.
