On March 17, 2025 our beloved Mary passed away. Mary was born on November 5, 1932.
Mary was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1951. At her death, she was a devout Catholic, member of St. Thomas Church of Thomaston, Connecticut where she was a member of both the Rosary Society and the Ladies Guild.
Faith, family and friends were the center of Marys life. Mary lived a life of sharing and caring. A fabulous cook and hostess, family and friends were always welcome at her home to share a cup of coffee and a homemade treat. No matter the time of day, there was always room for one more at her table. She will also be remembered for her love of music, dogs and her pride in the United States of America. While she was able, Mary enjoyed long walks, watching sports and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) Bouffard, a son Ernest Lavergne, his wife Karen Marks-Lavergne, grandchildren Adam, Morgan, Alexandra and Alexis and daughter-in-law Kim Lavergne. She is predeceased by her daughters Ann Lavergne and Jeanne Grahm, her son John Lavergne, first husband Jaques (Jack) Lavergne her brother Anthony Zappone and her sister Theresa Zappone. She is also survived by her siblings, Joe Zappone, Gertrude Zappone, Alice Capaldo and Cathy Register.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Thomaston. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston.
