Torrington - Mrs. Mary T. (Ducharme) St. Denis, 97, of Torrington, formally of Thomaston and Bristol, passed away on April 18, 2016 at Torrington Health and Rehab. She was the widow of the late Maurice St. Denis. Mary was born on December 10, 1918 in St. Albans, Vermont, daughter of the late Frank and Angelina Ducharme. She leaves behind her sons, Leonard St. Denis, Sr. and his wife Nancy of Torrington, Andrew St. Denis and his wife Christine of Thomaston, and Norman St. Denis of Bristol; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter in law Cheryl St. Denis; and her siblings, Eva, Albert, Henry and Joseph Ducharme. Marys family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Unit One Staff and Recreation Department Staff of Torrington Health for their exceptional care and support of Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St., Thomaston. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
