Thomaston- Miss Mary K. Ryan, 95, died Friday, February 21, at the Cook Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. Miss Ryan was born July 8, 1918 in Waterbury, daughter of the late James S. and Helen (Kane) Ryan. Raised in Thomaston she had attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School class of 1936. She was a graduate of the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as a registered nurse for over forty years at Waterbury Hospital, for half of her career as head nurse. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. She is survived by two nieces, Ellen Chizinski of Thomaston and Tina Kell of Wallingford; one nephew, Paul DePecol of Bristol; one great niece; five great nephews; two grandnieces and two grandnephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary DePecol, broth-in-law, Benjamin DePecol and nephew Benjamin J. DePecol. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning, March 1, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church.
