Obituary

Port St. Lucie, FL - Maureen Terrill, 88, peacefully passed away Friday morning, April 24 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Maureen is survived by her 2 daughters, Judy LeRose and her husband Mark of Palm City Florida, and Jill Terrill and her partner, Joseph Buono of Terryville, CT. She is also survived by her cousin Joan Bleau of Bristol CT, and multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene L. Terrill. Maureen was born on April 7, 1927 in Thomaston, CT to Nellie (Ryan) and Jeremiah Reardon. She went to Post Business College, and in 1949, she married the love of her live, Eugene L. Terrill. Maureen and Les settled down and lived most of their lives in Waterbury, CT. Maureen worked for 15 years with the State of Connecticut at Mattatuck Community College in the Registrars office. Of all her accomplishments, Maureens greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her kind heart and brilliant smile allowed her to make everyone she came in contact with feel welcome and cared for. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more. She leaves her children, cousins, and nieces and nephews with the knowledge that they were truly loved Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St., Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Maureen to the Alzheimers Association, Connecticut Chapter 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100 Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
