Michael Edward Grabherr, 59, of Thomaston, CT, passed away unexpectedly on February 12,
2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness. Michael was known for his
adventurous spirit and if you needed anything, Michael would drop everything to help. Whether
through his unwavering support and love for family and friends or the countless quiet acts of
generosity, Michael embodied the true meaning of selflessness. He gave freely without
expecting in return, always putting the needs of others before his own.
Above all else, Michael found immense joy in his role as a Father. His love for his children,
Samantha, Katie, and Andrew, was boundless, shown in both grand gestures and the smallest,
everyday moments of care and encouragement. Michael led by example, teaching his children
the values of kindness, resilience, and selflessness. Whether it was offering comforting words,
cheering them on in sports, or simply being present in every moment that mattered, he ensured
that they always felt loved and supported.
Michael is survived by his children Samantha, Katie, and Andrew Grabherr. His mother,
Marianne Grabherr; his brother, Brian Grabherr; his nieces, Abigail McPhee (Grabherr) and
Jaqueline Grabherr; his many cousins, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his
father, Edward Grabherr.
The family will be holding a private service.
