Thomaston - Mildred "Mimi" Roseannie (Lundberg) Thomson, age 85, of Judson St., died at home on Friday, October 23. She was the wife of William J. Thomson. They were married for 62 years. Mimi was bookkeeper for the Thomaston Board of Education for 27 years before her retirement in 1985. She was a lifelong member of the Covenant Church of Thomaston, and was active in the Covenant Women, serving for many years at their annual smorgasbord and other events. She was a wonderful cook, baker, and seamstress. She loved gardening, watching birds, and listening to music. In her youth she played mandolin in the church string band. She enjoyed vacations in Cape Cod and Maine, and visited relatives in Sweden twiceonce as a teenager and again after her retirement. Mimi was a loving wife and mother, and a dear friend to many. She will be sorely missed. Besides her husband, William, she is survived by two sons, Stephen and Michael, both of Maine, a beloved granddaughter, Lauren, of Chicago, as well as two nephews, Paul and Chris Lundberg. A brother, Ralph, is deceased. There will be no calling hours.
