Thomaston Miss Mildred Werner, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, at Regal Healthcare in Torrington. Mildred was born June 23, 1932 in Thomaston, daughter of the late Emil and Amelia (Steinackle) Werner. Raised in Thomaston, Mildred attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. She had been employed as a secretary at several different local companies. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston. She is survived by her brother, Donald Werner of Careywood, Idaho. She was predeceased by her brother, Norman Werner. A graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
