Thomaston Mr. David C. Geddes, 78, passed away Tuesday morning, February 20, at his home. David was born April 17, 1945, in Waterbury, son of the late Earl I. and Hazel (Morse) Geddes. Raised in Thomaston he attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. He had served honorably in the United States Army. A longtime enthusiast of Farmall tractors, David spent countless hours painstakingly restoring them to their original glory and competing in local tractor pulls. David was also an avid cyclist who participated in numerous multi-day rides in such locations as Iowa, Colorado, Kansas and France. Later in life, David found much joy and satisfaction in his work at the Nutmeg Spice Company, making new friends and bringing a smile to all those whose lives he touched. He is survived by two sons, Neil Geddes and his husband Patrick Rimassa of West Orange, NJ and Ryan Geddes and his wife Gina of Bethlehem; three brothers, Larry Geddes of Thomaston, Eugene Geddes and his wife Linda of Thomaston and Ronald Geddes and his wife Denise of FL; his grandson, Jeremy Geddes and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be in the Northfield Cemetery in the spring. Services Private Services
