Terryville- Mr. Edward T. Blade, 77, died Tuesday, December 7, at St. Marys Hospital in Waterbury. Ed was born October 4, 1933 in Waterbury son of the late Edward J. and Faye (West) Blade. Raised in Waterbury he had attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School. He was currently employed at BMI in Thomaston as a toolmaker. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by one son, Thomas E. Blade and his wife Lesley of Terryville; two daughters, Patti L. Blade-Myers and her husband Hank of Oakville and Lori Conant and her husband Bill of Wolcott; three grandchildren, Michelle Coss, Meghan Conant and Amy Conant; one step granddaughter, Darcey Moore and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Nicole. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret Butkis. Arrangements: Family and friends may gather at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston on Friday, December 10, at 9:30 A.M. to process to St. Thomas Cemetery for a 10:00 A.M. graveside service. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 9, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Founders Affiliate P.O.
