Thomaston Mr. Edwin "Harry" Piotrowski, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Clara L. (Neddermann) Piotrowski. Harry was born August 8, 1928 in Terryville, son of the late John and Ramolda (Tomcheski) Piotrowski. Raised in Terryville he attended local schools and was a graduate of Terryville High School, class of 1946. Upon graduation, Harry enlisted in the US Army and served honorably for two years. He received an associates degree in accounting under the GI Bill and went on to work in accounting for the Eagle Lock Company where he met his future wife of 64 years, Clara. He retired in 1990 from Kaman Aircraft in Bloomfield. Harry and Clara wintered in Florida for 23 years and made many new friends. Harry enjoyed gardening, playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Andrew J. Piotrowski and his wife Susan of Hickory, NC; his daughters, Lynn A. Wilson and her husband Gary of Thomaston and Joyce M. Sousa and her husband Mark of Thomaston; his grandchildren, Gary, Greg, Kelsey, Amanda, Mark and Brian and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his six siblings, Ray, Ted, Edna, Regina, John and Lucille and his grandson Justin A. Damiano. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 30, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Following the funeral Mass, full military honors will be accorded on the church grounds. Burial in Hillside Cemetery will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions to be used for a "Memorial Bench" in the Seth Thomas Park renovation in honor of Harry may be mailed to Joyce M.
