Thomaston - Mr. Frank Albert Cahill, Sr., 81, passed away on Thursday, May 28, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Lynn (Simpson) Cahill.
Mr. Cahill was born September 21, 1933 in Winterville, Maine, son of the late Stephen and Irene (Marquis) Cahill. He had worked for many years as a carpenter then became an auto mechanic, working for over 30 years at Speedy Muffler King. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.
In addition to his wife of 50 years he is survived by two sons, Frank A. Cahill, Jr of Bristol and David Cahill of Thomaston; four daughters, Cindy Miller of Winsted, Doris Cahill of Torrington, Georgyann Hennig of Danbury and Rhonda Smith of Thomaston; five sisters, Alberta ONeal, Cora Lumbard and Norma Pinette all of Thomaston, Barbara Hotchkiss of FL and Linda Cahill of Torrington; fourteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Kenneth Rayder; two brothers, Charles and Tom and two sisters, Mary Ferris and Joan Embelton.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 1, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
