PLEASANT VALLEY, CT - Mr. Gordon E. Johnson, 79, of Albough Rd., died Saturday, April 9 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra (Remsen) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was born in Sheldon, VT on February 12, 1932 a son of the late Gordon and Ida (Clapper) Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked many years as a truck driver for the Town of Thomaston. After his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing an RV camping with his family at Camp Waubeeka in Copake, NY. Besides his wife he leaves five sons, Gordon W. Johnson of Torrington, Joseph Johnson of Thomaston, Tim Johnson of Terryville, Donald Johnson of Pleasant Valley, William Johnson or Waterbury; a brother Richard Johnson of Thomaston and seven grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert Johnson and by his granddaughter Stephanie Johnson. Services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston is assisting with arrangements.
