Thomaston Mr. Howard J. Penny, Jr, 72, passed away on Sunday evening, January 28, at the Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Borzino. Howard was born June 13, 1951, in Waterbury, son of the late Howard J. Sr and Ann (Rotante) Penny. Howard was raised in Stamford, he worked in computers for Walden Books and PepsiCo prior to his retirement. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, camping, cards, board games, watching old black and white movies and certainly telling jokes to anyone he met. Howard was also an avid reader. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ara Penny of Rutland, VT and Avalon Penny of Biddeford, ME; one stepdaughter, Meghan Borzino and her husband Theodore Reinheimer of Oakville; two grandchildren Mia and Emma Reinheimer; his mother-in-law, Cecile Borzino and brother-in-law, Thomas Borzino of Prospect; and nieces Jennifer Almy and Kimberly Borzino of Uxbridge MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, February 3, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial is private.
