Torrington Mr. Howard F. Sears, Jr, 72, formerly of Thomaston, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Judy A. (Hall) Sears. Howard was born January 10, 1949 in Derby, son of the late Howard F. and Eleanor (Schaefer) Sears. Raised in Seymour he attended local schools and was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 1966. In 1982, Howard and Judy moved to Thomaston. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Jeffrey H. Sears and his fianc Danielle of Terryville; his daughter, Karen E. Bellmay and her husband Joseph of Terryville; his sisters, Carol Sutay and her husband Bruce of Tampa, FL and Gail Tompkins and her husband Scott of West Palm Beach, FL; his five grandchildren, Joe, Matthew, Vanessa, Hailey and Julia and several nieces and nephews. Walk through calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 21, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St., Thomaston.
