Thomaston- Dr. James S. Noland, PhD., 77, died Saturday, February 5, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was the husband of Joan (Tobias) Brainerd Noland. Mr. Noland was born June 18, 1933 in Cape Girardeau, MO son of the late Karl and Kathleen (Bray) Noland. In addition to his wife he is survived by a step-son, Jeffrey Brainerd Malkan of Thomaston. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at a later date.
