Obituary

Retired Toolmaker Thomaston James D. Rebman, 69, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Vadnais) Rebman for 47 years. Jim was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1950, son of Robert and Jean (Gilbert) Rebman. Jim served his country in the Army. He managed Walters Auto Parts in Waterbury, then became an eyelet toolmaker and worked that trade until his retirement from Eyelematic Manufacturing. Jim was a talented mechanic and body man. He enjoyed NASCAR and his beloved dogs. Including his wife, Cheryl, Jim is survived by his brothers, Allen Rebman, and Paul Rebman; his sister in law, Sharon Vadnais; and his nephew, Jody Yarosis, and many cousins and friends. He will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kristie A. Rebman; and his brother, Peter Rebman. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 262 Main St., Oakville. Burial will be held privately.
