Torrington- Mr. Kenneth W. Foley, Sr., 89, formerly of Willow Gardens, died Thursday night, November 4, at Paradigm Healthcare in Torrington. He was the husband of the late Ina A. (Knox) Foley.
Mr. Foley was born November 22, 1920 in Waterbury son of the late James and Emma (Lawlor) Foley. He had been employed at the former Pennfield Saw Co. in Thomaston and then worked as truck driver for O&G Industries from 1957 until his retirement in 1983. He and his wife had been avid square dancers and belonged to the Nutmeg Squares. He was a member of the Sullivan Senior Center and a former member of the Eagle Rock Congregational Church.
He is survived by two sons, William R. Foley of Northfield and Kenneth W. Foley, Jr of FL; one daughter, Sandra Silano of Torrington; two sisters, Ruth Lamontagne and June Borla both of Torrington; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Galgano.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 11, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street Thomaston. Burial in Northfield Cemetery will be private.
