Wells, Vermont- Mr. Kevin V. Maslak, 55, formerly of Thomaston, died Wednesday evening, July 25, at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Laurie (Anderson) Maslak.
Kevin was born in Bristol on April 21, 1957, son of Victor G. and Irene (Rogozinski) Maslak of Thomaston. Raised in Thomaston he attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. He had worked for White Oak Construction for several years and then founded the Plymouth Glass Company; he was then joined in the glass company by his brother Darryl. He retired in 2005 as co-owner. Kevin loved to hunt and was an avid rider and Harley Davidson enthusiast. He will be remembered as a huge lover of animals and had many pets, including his dogs, Snickers and Bandit.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Baker of NJ; one son, Kevin; three brothers, Darryl J. Maslak and his wife Lucille of Thomaston, Dennis Maslak of Thomaston and Kerry Maslak and his wife Kimberly of Wells, VT; one sister Geraldine Gerdauskas and her husband Francis of Thomaston; his paternal grandmother, Mary K. Maslak of CO and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
