Thomaston - Mr. Kurt D. Jones, 58, of Thomaston, died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. Kurt was born on October 10, 1955 in Endicott, NY, son of Mrs. Gail B. Jones (Walbridge),and the late Donald A. Jones. Attending local schools, he was a graduate of Terryville High School where he was a member of the photography club and served on the yearbook committee. Kurt worked for Superior Electric-Dana in Bristol for many years. Kurt enjoyed music, playing guitar, Ford Mustangs and was very well known for his photography. He was very hands on from home renovations to replacing an engine in a car.Hisintegrity andkindness made him adear friendto many.Kurt cherished the time he was able to spend with his friends,family, and especially his precious dog, Mindy. Besides his mother, Kurt is survived by his sister, Valerie Jones (Wehrle) of Thomaston, his brotherDane Miller and his wife Roseanne, of Phoenix, NY.; his nieces and nephews, Jackie, Kristina, Eric and Sean; his great-niece, Taylor; his great-nephew, Mason; his dear friends, Carol Crean, Annette Paquet, and his loving caretaker Gifty Boamah. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 27th, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
