Thomaston- Mr. Norman E. Werner, 83, died Friday, July 25 at his home. Mr. Werner was born August 15, 1930 in Waterbury, son of the late Emil and Amelia (Steinackle) Werner. Raised in Thomaston he attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School and received a bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut. He had served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW. He is survived by his brother, Donald C. Werner of Careywood, ID and his sister, Mildred Werner of Torrington. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 31, at 10:00 A.M. at the Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston.
