Northfield- Raymond Allen Lutz, 67, died Saturday, July 20, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.
Raymond was born July 4, 1946 in Waterbury, son of the late Victor J. and Catherine (Gruhuskas) Lutz, Sr. Raymond served honorably in the United States Army from 14th of December 1964 until 30th of March 1966 when he entered the Army Reserves until 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. In 1972 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably until his discharge on the 21st of June 1976.
He is survived by two brothers, Victor J. Lutz , Jr of Northfield and George A. Lutz of Harwinton; five sisters, Barbara A. Lowell of Northfield, Margaret A. Watson of Torrington, Judy A. Benedict of Northfield and Catherine A Torsiello and Elaine A. Harrison both of Torrington and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: All funeral services will be private. Burial with full military honors will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery in Thomaston.
