Thomaston Mr. Richard David Rosa, 79, passed away on Saturday morning, July 29, at his home. He was the husband of Jill (Coss) Rosa. Mr. Rosa was born September 12, 1937 in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Rainier) Rosa. Raised in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury, he was a graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School and Leavenworth High School, class of 1955. He had been employed for 33 years at Scovill Manufacturing and Century Brass as a mill wright. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Richard D. Rosa, Jr of Thomaston; three daughters, Ann Balducci of Winsted, Catherine Mascetti and her husband Michael of Terryville and Jill Pellegrino of Terryville; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 31, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
