Thomaston - Robert T. Whitmore, husband of Margaret (McDonald) (Audietis) Whitmore, died suddenly April 25, 2015. He was born in New Haven, April 22, 1955, son of Herbert G. Whitmore, Sr. and Martha (Boyle) Whitmore. Bob was a friend of Bill W. for more than 15 years and was proud of his sobriety, which allowed him to pursue a career as a truck driver until illness forced his retirement. His sponsors deserve thanks for their dedication and support. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his brothers, Joseph, Donald and Herbert, Jr., all of North Haven; and his sister, Nancy Sturgis of North Barnstable, MA. Special thanks to Bobs best buddy, Sterling Jette, for keeping him on track and supporting him through all his illnesses and trials. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. in Thomaston. Burial will be private. T
