Thomaston - William C. Foy, Jr., 81, of Thomaston, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Valerie Manor in Torrington. He was the husband of Mrs. Lois (Knox) (Pecco) Foy. William was born on August 20, 1934 in Northfield, son of the late William C. Foy, Sr., and Marjorie (Gill) Foy. William served honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the State of Connecticut Highway Department as an engineer for a number of years until his retirement. He loved camping, traveling, and spending his winters in Florida with his wife, Lois. Besides his wife, William is survived by his children, Perry Foy and his wife Lynne of Palm Bay, FL, Bonnie Tucker and her husband Daniel of Logansport, IN, Wendy Foy of Silver Springs, FL, Melissa Massey and her husband Jeff of Citra, FL; his step daughters, Becky Gorman and her husband James of Canton, and Tammy Dayton and her husband Brian of Thomaston; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and 4 step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Jackie Foy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Covenant Church of Thomaston, 64 Grove Street. Burial of cremains will follow in Northfield Cemetery.
