Thomaston- Mrs. Ada Helen (Rowlison) Grenier, 88, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July, 15. She was the widow of James F. Grenier, Sr.
Mrs. Grenier was born August 18, 1926 in Torrington, daughter of the late Avery and Mary (Muckle) Rowlison. Raised in Watertown she had attended local schools and was a graduate of Watertown High School. She had formerly worked for Watertown Bank and Trust and then the Colonial Bank and Trust in Watertown. After her marriage to James they settled in Thomaston. She had been a member of the Thomaston Womens Club and will be remembered for her love of gardening, crocheting and most especially spending her time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, James F. Grenier, Jr and his wife Carol of Thomaston, John A. Grenier and his wife Peg of Terryville and Joseph T. Grenier and his wife Dawn of Thomaston; her daughter, Jacqueline Rossi and her husband Joseph of Wolcott; her brother, John Rowlison of Watertown; her sister, Mary Rowlison of Waterbury; eleven grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Alicia, Michael, Christina, Gregory, Stephanie, Joseph R., David, Joseph G. and Joshua; five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Scarlett, Preston, Max and Sofia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith M. valentine and two brothers, Avery and Thomas.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 19, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
