Christine (Piazza) Licata, 64, soared on the wings of angels September 13, 2023, while at home and surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Anthony J. Licata and the mother of Danielle R. Licata. Christine was born March 12, 1959, in Easton, PA, the daughter of the late Chris and Jean (Restucci) Piazza. Raised in Phillipsburg, NJ, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Easton High School, where she met Tony. She then completed Cosmetology School and worked for nearly 40 years as a hairstylist. For many of those years, she was employed by Regis Hair Salons. She also worked at the International Beauty Show in New York City with the Chadwicks for several years. Christine and Tony moved to Connecticut thirty-five years ago and settled in Thomaston, where they raised their daughter Danielle. Christine leaves behind her husband, Anthony; her daughter, Danielle; her sister, Marcha Piazza Peterson of Catasauqua, PA; her mother-in-law, Rosalie Licata of Torrington, CT; her sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Carol Piazza; her aunt, Gracie Ajhar and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her siblings Frank Piazza, Robert Piazza, and Madaline Piazza Hammersten. Christine lit up every room she entered with her dazzling smile and welcoming personality. She was generous beyond measure and possessed a gift of making everyone feel special. Chris also loved animals and left behind Oggi Licata, her beloved cat. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 19, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will be private.
