Northfield Diane Marie (Snowden) Crocco, 76, passed away on Monday, July 10, at her home with her husband and close family by her side. Diane was born February 22, 1947 in Waterbury daughter of the late David & Margaret Snowden. Raised in Cheshire she attended local schools and was a graduate of Cheshire High School. Diane was employed by Sedexo where she worked in the kitchen at Forman high school for over 30 years, where she was much loved by all who entered the halls. She was known as "Ma" to the decades of students who attended, and opened her home to those students who were in need, night or day. Over the past few years, Diane and Ed really began to enjoy being empty nesters. Doing everything together, maintaining the beautiful flowers outside of their home, traveling to Louden once a year to enjoy the races for the weekend, as well as being regulars for dinner at Dianes favorite restaurant, Crabby Als. In addition to her beloved husband, Ed, she leaves her six grandchildren, Elizabeth Manning of Torrington, CT, Morgan Thompson of Nobleboro, ME, Marc Manning of Waldoboro, ME, Madison Thompson of Warren, ME, DJ Thompson and Kammie Thompson of Jefferson, ME; two great-grandchildren, Oaklynn Bezio and Christopher Bezio III and her daughter-in-law, Laura Thompson. She was predeceased by her daughter, Karie Marie Manning and son, David Thompson, Jr. All services will be private.
