Thomaston - Mrs. Diane G. (Perbeck) Sanford, 78, passed away on Thursday, December 8, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.. She was the wife of Kirk T. Sanford, Sr. Diane was born September 8, 1938 in Thomaston, daughter of the late John and Helen Perbeck. Raised in Thomaston she had attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. She had been employed by New Departure in Bristol for 37 years. Diane will be remembered as kind person with a heart of gold. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Lorraine A. Luzietti of Milford and Lynne M. Masi and her husband Christopher of Plymouth; her step-children, Dawn M. Miller and her husband Kevin of Bristol, Corallee Curtiss and her husband James of Hyannis, MA. Kirk T. Sanford, Jr and his wife Michele of Watertown, Michael D. Sanford and his wife Michelle of Northfield and Donald J. Sanford of Thomaston; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her seven siblings. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 13, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. in Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 14, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery will be private.
