Groton- Mrs. Doris (McBride) Battistoni, 84, of Governors Circle, formerly of Thomaston, died Thursday, March 17, at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. Doris was born January 17, 1927 in Waterbury daughter of the late Walter A. and Anna E (Fadoir) McBride. She had been employed as a machine operator for the Risdon Corporation for over sixteen years. She had been a member of the AARP and the Thomaston Seniors. She is survived by her children, Frank L. Lounsbury, John W. Lounsbury, Alice M. Britton, Ann F. Beaulieu, Barbara A. Golaszewski, Cindy D. Lounsbury and Betty Lou Tracz; her brother, Clifford J. McBride; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. All funeral services are private.
