Thomaston - Mrs. Dorothy A. (Peterson) Flanagan, 83, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 15, at the Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Thomas Q. Flanagan. Dorothy was born February 13, 1932 in St. Clair County, Alabama daughter of the late Delma (Lowe) Peterson and John Henry Peterson. After marrying her late husband, Dorothy and Thomas moved to Waterbury, they then lived in Cheshire and in 1960 made their home in Thomaston. She had been employed by the Honeywell Corp. of Thomaston. Dorothy will be remembered for her love of horses and animals, but most especially the joy she found in spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Thomas H. Flanagan and his wife Bonnie of Thomaston; her daughters, Cheryl Woodward of Bristol and Helen Jones and her husband Jon of Lakeland, FL; her sister-in-law, Mary Peterson of IN; her grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Matt, Carrie, David and Thomas; one great-grandson, Gavin and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Del Woodward and her siblings. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 19, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Cemetery in Thomaston. Arrangements are in the care of the Lyons Funeral Home of Thomaston.
