Thomaston- Mrs. Edna B. (Day) Gilbert, 77, died on Thursday Morning, February 6, at Cook-Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. Mrs. Gilbert was born September 15, 1936 in Waterbury, daughter of the late William J. and Mary Day. Edna was raised in Thomaston and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and will be remembered as a loving and devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother who enjoyed her time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Mary F. Kasulaitis and her husband Ronald of Simsbury; her two granddaughters, Brenda Desautels and Melody Fennelly and three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jared and Caitlyn. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 9, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 10, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in the spring.
