Thomaston- Mrs. Eleanor (DiMeco) Hirleman, 79, died Saturday, July 21, at her home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Robert G. Hirleman. Mrs. Hirleman was born January 23, 1933 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Gabriel and Susan (Amicone) DiMeco. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Jay R. Hirleman and his companion Mary Beth Hull of Thomaston and Robert J. Hirleman and his wife Nancy of Bethlehem; one daughter, Joanne Olsen of Brandon, VT; two brothers, Gabe DiMeco of Waterbury and Ralph DiMeco of Southbury; two sisters, Millie Zawila of PA and Susan Kolodziej of FL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, John D. Hirleman and a sister, Adeline Onofreo. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, at 10:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours are this evening from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
