Thomaston Mrs. Emilia D. (Carbon) OBrien, 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, at Cook-Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. She was the widow of Robert L. OBrien, Sr.
Emilia was born September 20, 1931, in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Abenante) Carbon. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School. She was a wonderful baker and cook and loved crafting, spending time with her family, long walks and travel.
Emilia is survived by her son, Mark OBrien and his wife Carol of Thomaston; her sister, Ruthann Flaherty and husband Ed of Bantam; five grandchildren, Blake, Kendal, Dylan, Katie and Colin; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including, Rochelle Foster who lovingly cared for Emilia. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Bob OBrien.
The family sends a special thanks to Cook Willow and all the excellent staff for their wonderful care.
