Thomaston- Mrs. Flora R. (Ruby) Austin, 78, died Saturday, December 25, at the Pines of Bristol. She was the loving wife of Paul E. Austin. Mrs. Austin was born October 11, 1932 in Waterbury daughter of the late Ralph and Mae (Moore) Ruby. She will be remembered as an avid gardener, and a loving woman who enjoyed baking, crocheting and doing jig saw puzzles with her husband Paul. In addition to her husband she is survived by two brothers, Raymond R. Ruby of Seymour and Robert R. Ruby of Bristol; three sisters, Elsie M. Ferraro of Waterbury, Hazel Rasmussen of Plymouth and Frances G. Parker of Thomaston; her nephew Thomas E. Parker, Jr and his wife Denise and their children Hannah and Kyle as well as several other nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
