Northfield - Mrs. Gertrude (Baldwin) Johnston, 97, died on Friday, December 25, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John W. Johnston. Mrs. Johnston was born July 13, 1918 in Northfield, daughter of the late Frank and Amy (Sills) Baldwin. She is survived by two sons, Barry W. Johnston and his wife Kathleen of Northfield and Darwin L. Johnston and his wife Dawn of Cambridge, NY; one brother, Raymond Baldwin of Thomaston; one sister, Stella Brammer of Thomaston; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Linda M. Perbeck. Arrangements: A private graveside service will be held in the East Morris Cemetery.
