Terryville- Mrs. Helen R. (Koriza) Arlofski McClain, 92, formerly of Thomaston, died on Thursday morning, May 3, at the Bristol Hospital. She was the widow of Anthony W. Arlofski and Russell T. McClain.
Mrs. McClain was born August 12, 1920 in Thomaston daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Lutz) Koriza. She was raised in Thomaston and had worked at the Seth Thomas Clock Co. and Electronic Specialty. She then worked with her husband Russell at the former H & R Trailer in Thomaston. Upon their retirement they moved to Florida, then Pennsylvania and Helen returned to Connecticut after Russells death.
She is survived by two sons, William T. Arlofski and his wife Lynda of Terryville and Robert C. Arlofski of NC; three step-sons, Dean McClain of TN, Ronald McClain and his wife Sheila of Plymouth and Richard McClain of PA; one sister, Katherine Kosikowski of Thomaston; her special friend Jack Duso of Terryville; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sandra E. Arlofski; her step-daughter, Patricia Combs and her four sisters, Josephine Gracie, Estella Sarajak, Mary Hanson and Virginia Bado.
Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Monday morning, May 7, at 10:00 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, May 6, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
