Thomaston - Jane L. (Rosa) Blais passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jane, who was born on October 24, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of Carl and Josephine (Zappone) Rosa, was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Blais to whom she was married for 59 years. Jane worked at Naugatuck Chemical Company as an administrative assistant before leaving her job to start her family. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and listening to music but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Debra (Blais) Tucker and her husband, Richard, of Wolcott, son Robert Blais and his wife, Phyllis, of Wolcott, daughter Karla (Blais) Russo and her husband, Michael, of Thomaston, and daughter Jacklyn (Blais) Frappier and her husband, Michael, of Thomaston. She also leaves her four cherished grandchildren who were the joy of her life; Gabriel and Blaise Russo; and Zachary and Jillian Frappier. Jane also leaves her sister, Matilda Martin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Ernest and Fred Rosa and a sister Mary Odoardo. She also enjoyed spending time with her friend, Cindy Randall. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Thomas Church, 19 Electric Ave. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Janes name to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 199 Park Road Extension, Middlebury, Ct 06762.
