Thomaston- Mrs. Jean (Mongelluzzo) Goad, 78, died on Monday morning, June 29. She was married to Lawrence G. Goad for 53 years.
Mrs. Goad was born June 12, 1937 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Vincent and Caroline (Arena) Mongelluzzo. Raised in Waterbury, she was a graduate of Tinker Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School, class of 1955. She had been employed at Davis & Nye in Waterbury for many years. An active parishioner of St. Thomas Church, she served as a lector for 36 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Sharon and her husband Bill; her son Raymond and his fiance Donna; her sister, Phyllis Colagrossi and her husband Adam; three grandchildren Ashley, Vincent and Marissa; two step grandsons, Sean and David and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
