Thomaston Joan (Ciak) Savage, 86, passed away on January 21, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Fran "Bunny" Savage. Joan was born October 9, 1938, in Suffield, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Shypinka) Ciak. Raised in Thomaston, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. Joan loved nothing more than to spend time with family and friends. She loved her many pets throughout the years. She found sanctuary at the family house on Amston Lake and enjoyed her many adventures to Cape Cod. In addition to husband, Joan is survived by her loving children, Fran Savage and his wife Suzanne Duffy-Savage of Cape Cod and Ann Marie Savage of Thomaston; her brother, Fran Ciak of Sarasota, FL; her grandson, Shane Savage of Cape Cod; her extra special neighbor, Rick Stanely and longtime close family friend, Judy Szymanski.
