Thomaston - Katherine Francis Kosikowski, 89, died Thursday morning, January 17, 2013, at Cook Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. She was the widow of Theodore H. Kosikowski. Mrs. Kosikowski was born in Thomaston on June 28, 1923, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Lutz) Koriza. A lifelong Thomaston resident, she also wintered for many years in southern Florida. She retired in 1982 from Plume and Atwood after 33 years in clerical administration. Katherine treasured her animal companions, her neighbors and her faithful friends. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Karen A. Iverson and her husband, Richard, of Lecanto, Fl, her son, Theodore Kosikowski of Terryville, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her dear friends Francis and Rene Skarp. She was predeceased by five sisters, Josephine Gracie, Mary Hanson, Estelle Sarajak, Virginia Bado, and Helen Arlofski McClain. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 19, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private in the Hillside Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours.
