Thomaston - Mrs. Kay (Schroth) Gardner, 71, of Thomaston, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, January 15, 2014 at her home. She was the widow of Mr. Robert A. Gardner, Jr. Kay was born on November 8, 1942 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Paul and Anne (Antionette) Schroth. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston for a number of years. Kay is survived by her son, Michael Gardner, of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert A. Gardner, III; and a sister, Gayle Gardner. Arrangements: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January, 20, at St. Thomas Church, 1 E. Main St., Thomaston. Burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may call on Sunday afternoon, January 19 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St.
