Thomaston- Mrs. Laura E. (Thompson) "Mig" Kwetkus, 85, died Monday, December 5, at Valerie Manor in Torrington. She was the widow of Joseph A. Kwetkus. Mrs. Kwetkus was born in Waterbury on May 26, 1926 daughter of the late John and Helen (Lawyer) Thompson. She was raised in Waterbury and moved to Thomaston in 1949 when she married Joseph. She had worked for many years as a home companion for the elderly. She enjoyed going to tag sales, knitting and time with her grandchildren. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas Church. She is survived by her son, Joseph Kwetkus of Thomaston; two brothers, Donald Thompson of Waterbury and Joseph Thompson of Prospect; one sister, Theresa Dorais of Southbury; two grandchildren, Ami Kwetkus and Joseph Kwetkus; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Marian Furs, Agnes Payne and Cecelia Hogan. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 12, at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Thomaston. There are no calling hours.
